**Intermediate Environmental Consultant/Field Lead**

Astute Environmental and Regulatory Inc. is a multi-faceted environmental and regulatory company with a focus on the upstream oil and gas, land development, and municipal clients within Alberta and British Columbia. We are currently seeking a talented, experienced, and highly motivated individual to support fieldwork and project planning, **based out of Edmonton or Grande Prairie**. We pride ourselves on our hard-working environment, and the successful applicant will be joining a fun, driven, and dynamic team of professionals within all aspects of the environmental and regulatory fields.

Astute is currently seeking an**:Intermediate Environmental Consultant/Field Lead**

**Qualifications and Personal Attributes**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, Hydrogeology, Remediation, or a similar discipline
- Professional designation or eligibility for a designation
- Minimum 2 years of environmental or project management experience
- Genuine interest in the environment and environmental consulting
- Previous experience working for a consulting firm or related industry
- Strong communication skills and excellent written and oral (English) skills
- Good physical health with willingness to travel and work in the field and office
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including problem-solving, decision-making, and stress management
- Valid Alberta driver's license and clean drivers abstract

**Duties and Expectations**
- Coordinate, supervise, and execute fieldwork including environmental assessments, spill response coordination and management, groundwater monitoring, detailed site assessments, site visits, terrestrial and biological assessments, remediation projects, as well as a varied regulatory work
- Familiarity with Alberta environmental guidelines and legislation
- Understanding of the Oil and Gas industry
- Familiarity with Peace Region and NW Alberta is an asset
- Ability in technical reporting, data review, and interpretation of laboratory analytical results
- Ability to work safely, in compliance with government, client, and Astute safety requirements
- Work with and communicate effectively with landowners, clients, and contractors
- Collaborate with Astute office and field staff
- Provide leadership and drive in the activities you undertake
- Maintain excellent client communication and service
- Effectively track and adhere to project budgets
- Ability to coach, inspire, support, and motivate employees throughout the organization
- This position will be approximately 80% field based

**Salary**: $32.00-$37.00 per hour
