Our Canadian Digital Team is looking to welcome a dynamic and data-driven** **E-Commerce Merchandiser** with a primary focus on enhancing onsite search functionality. You will play a crucial role in optimizing the customer experience by improving onsite search and product findability experience (searchability / visibility / browsing) on all Rexel Canada web shops.

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- You are strategically and operationally responsible for the onsite search in our web shops and apps. Improving the customer journey by enhancing onsite search and search features is your top priority.
- You understand the impacts of each search component on the overall Search performance (data quality, search algorithm parameters and weights, search relevancy, results ranking strategy, etc.)
- You implement search engine solution setup and features (I.e., creating and optimizing filters for search and navigation)
- You analyze search behavior, search results, top searches, failed searches and optimize product keywords, synonyms, and redirects.
- You work closely with the Category Management team to refine category search and browsing and improve the search results relevance.
- You work closely with the Product Data team to ensure relevant, complete and accurate product data on all web shops to improve search.
- You are in close collaboration with the Rexel Group Search team to identify opportunities for improvement locally and understand other countries' processes and learnings.

**What we are looking for**
- You have at least 2-3 years of professional experience in e-commerce, ideally with a focus on onsite search.
- Previous experience working with SAP Commerce (Hybris) / Apache Solr or other similar advanced website search engine tools is a plus.
- You have a strong knowledge of analytics tools (I.e., Google Analytics, Looker Studio, PowerBI).
- You are data-driven and have a high-level of attention to detail.
- You are highly organized, enthusiastic, resourceful, and willing to learn.
- You are curious and have a passion for solving problems.
- You have strong analytical skills and enjoy working independently and agilely.
- You like collaborating with cross-functional teams, and you can clearly communicate timelines, tasks, and deadlines.
- Being familiar with electro-technical products is a plus.
