Position Snapshot
Business Development Managers at US Ecology partner with current and potential customers, local operations and sales in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to grow services and execute initiatives for both revenue and earnings growth. They evaluate appropriate information to forecast the return on future business transactions. They designs and determine terms of business agreement and project proposals.
Day in the Life
You can expect to:
- Develop and secure new profitable business, including expanding current offerings to existing customers- Identify and research new markets and recommend strategies to execute for the Company’s existing client base- Receive calls from Customers, answering technical questions, market strategies, service offerings, and pricing- Develop strategies for growing revenues in geographic markets or specific service lines- Complete required reports, forecasts, or other reports- Prepare price quotations and proposals- Coordinate with sales and operations management to develop effective strategies for closing prospect opportunities- Execute approved business development plans through the proposal and project execution stages- Contact existing customers to ensure account retention- Organize projects across the company and report on activity
What you need to apply- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience- 5 years’ minimum of related experience in the environmental industry- Must be able to obtain a Transportation Work Identification Credential (TWIC) for access to all port and shipping related facilities.- Knowledge and understanding of sales pricing and competitive options with the environmental related industry-
- Experience using CRM system(s)- Ability to work remotely while traveling regionally- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
