We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager with a passion for people management & guest experience to join our team and help lead our Victoria location. We are dedicated to working closely with our managers to help them make a positive change in our communities. We want to hear from you
**WHO YOU ARE**
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Restaurant Operations:
- Lead team and restaurant operations while on shift.
- Maintain an organized and clean kitchen.
- Work closely with team to ensure fast & high-quality food and beverage programs - from prep to execution, to ticket time, and guest experience.
- Contribute ideas and assist in recipe testing for menu updates, seasonal offerings, and promotions.
- Oversee equipment care and maintenance such as training team in proper use, completing or scheduling repairs as needed.
- Inventory management, food ordering, and receiving & storing product
- Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with vendors to support a fresh and local ingredient portfolio.
Administrative Operations:
- Assisting the management team to ensure all financial, personnel, and payroll-related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time, and following Virtuous Pie’s policies and procedures.
- Write weekly schedules that achieve service and budget goals.
- Conduct weekly inventory counts and investigate variances to control restaurant costs. Track and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring all invoices are paid on time.
- Assist in writing and complying with the annual restaurant budget. Review the weekly and monthly finances, including profit and loss reports.
Partner and Guest Experience:
- Conducting regular sit-downs and performance reviews with partners. Managing and following up on disciplinary or performance issues with partners.
- Train all partners to maintain a strong work culture and brand identity while upholding the standards of the guest experience.
- Establish and maintain positive, long-lasting, professional relationships with the team.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of experience as a General Manager/Assistant GM or cumulative and equivalent experience in the restaurant industry.
- 1+ years of experience as a cook or equal experience in kitchens. Proven leadership paired with excellent kitchen skillset.
- Ability to work in an inter-functional team environment.
- Ability to coach others with honesty and professionalism while leading by example.
- Previous experience in leading operations and related administrative works.
- Knowledge and experience using plant-based ingredients.
- Personal alignment with Virtuous Pie’s vision, values, and team culture is considered an asset.
- Experience using Microsoft programs, scheduling software, inventory management software, and POS systems. Experience with Revel POS, 7Shifts, Outlook, Excel, and/or Restaurant 365 Inventory Management System is considered advantageous.
- High standard of professionalism and attention to detail. Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
