**Job Title**:Accounting Manager

**Reports to **:Chief Financial Officer

**Role Overview**

The Accounting Manager is in charge of general accounting and financial reporting while reporting to Chief Financial Officer. This position will help with account reconciliations, variance analysis, and the creation of monthly departmental financial reports. He or she will take part in the annual forecasting and budgeting process.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The job job responsibilities involves but are not limited to the following:

- To oversee the entire accounting cycle, including inter-company transactions and accounts payable, accounts receivables, month end account reconciliations and year end financial reporting.
- To Maintain schedules and reconciliations for all divisions' bank, prepayment, inter-company, fixed asset, accrued liability, and/or other assigned accounts.
- To comply with monthly HST and quarterly WSIB reporting requirements.
- To handle the escalated enquiries which involve complex organizational issues.
- To assist the CFO in assessing the monthly difference between actual spending and planned spending, offering a root cause analysis and suggestions to increase profitability and meet set goals. Using suggestions from the larger team, revise the fiscal year outlook.
- To ensure proper and accurate recording of receipts and expenses.
- To generate the analytical reports and submit to senior management for organizational bdecision making.
- To ensure that transactions are recorded and kept up to date in accordance with agreed policies and procedures.
- To address accounting inconsistencies and irregularities
- To ensure that all accounting procedures are written down.
- To Spot opportunities for process improvement.
- To work together to support the creation and enhancement of business solutions with team members and others within the organisation.
- To monitor the documention of journal entry and other accounting-related information filing, both electronically and manually
- To Create schedules and other necessary documentation for internal and finance quarterly and year-end financial statements.
- Aid CFO in ensuring audit compliance
- To constantly realign priorities and goals to reflect shifting business requirements.
- To oversee and assist with numerous business projects such as launching of accouting softwares.
- To utilize the cost accounting skills to do inventory reconciliation and implement procedures to reduce inventory variance.
- To calculate the sales commission for the sales managers.
- To manage and record the foreign exchange transactions for import and export of company’s goods.
- Occasional administrative tasks.
- Other duties as requested by the management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
