IDG clients represent the biggest names in the global video game hardware, software, publishing, distribution and retail ecosystem, including Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Epic Games, Riot, Take-Two, Tencent, Warner Bros. Interactive, Disney, Google, Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy, among many others.

- Financial modeling capabilities and desktop research capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (IELTS score of 8.5 or higher)
- Editing and proofreading skills
- PowerPoint and Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, if-then/conditional statements)
- Ability to manage time and prioritize activities based on multiple projects and deadlines
- Positive, client-centric demeanor with a focus on building long-term relationships
- Ability to wear many hats and work well in fast-paced environment
- Team player who can work collaboratively, follow guidance, and take feedback
- Ability to work independently and comfortable taking on ownership of projects
- Location in the Pacific time zone

**Recommended**:

- Video game industry knowledge is a huge plus, along with a desire to learn
- Client service experience is strongly recommended
- Experience with SQL, Excel Macros/VBA - particularly writing or troubleshooting code - is a strong plus. You will be expected to learn PostgreSQL.
- Strong visualization abilities in PowerPoint is a plus
- Knowledge of Tableau is preferable

**Job responsibilities**:

- Compose a daily digest of relevant industry new items for the team and clients on our external distribution list.
- Leverage point-of-sale data as well as IDG’s custom market models and proprietary software tool suite to size and forecast the Mobile, PC, Console, Cloud Gaming/Streaming, Esports, VR/AR/MR, Peripherals/Accessories markets.
- Leverage the aforementioned forecast models along with in-depth desktop research and your own existing knowledge of the games business to write analytical insights on key market trends
- Assist with all aspects of the syndicated publication business—including writing reports, creating charts/graphs/infographics, updating databases, editing reports, and creating marketing material
