THE ROLE*

As milk traverses the supply chain, it gets tested at various stages for quality and component data. This allows for routing it to the appropriate processor and ultimately for optimal conversion into your favorite dairy products. In addition to determining how and where milk is processed, quality data impacts how producers are compensated for the milk they produce. The Quality & Processing Team creates and maintains data pipelines, APIs, and dashboards for ingesting and publishing quality data as well as web and mobile tools for ensuring the right milk lands in the right place for processing.

As the Q&P Team Lead, you will be the sprint-driver, mentor, and lead to our Q&P value stream, working closely with our VP of Engineering and product team to build performant, scalable, cloud native solutions to address customer and industry needs. Here are some other examples of things you will do:

- Partner with development, design, product, and sales teams to define and deliver new solutions to organize, share, and make predictions on quality data and optimize the processing of milk
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to your development team
- Work on problems with your teams, roll up your sleeves, form an opinion, and advocate for engineering-specific roadmap items
- Oversee the delivery of exceptional user experiences by establishing clear definitions of successful deployments

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
Milk Moovement seeks to have a diverse, inclusive, team-oriented, and curiosity driven herd. Our team lives up to our core values, and we expect you will be excited to do so as well. You will likely have had 3+ years of experience leading the end-to-end development of a product or service at an established or high-growth technology company, but prior dairy industry experience is not required We will teach you all there is to know about the industry beginning with our dairy 101 course. It is definitely more complicated than you think and that is why we do what we do Here’s what else we’re looking for:

- Extensive experience with Node, React, TS/JS
- 2+ years working with production workloads in AWS Prior experience designing and implementing data pipelines
- Strong sense of empathy to care deeply about customer problems and user experience
- Analytical thinking skills and a data-informed approach to decision-making
- Curiosity and passion to constantly be learning; we change fast, and we need our team to be able to change and learn fast too
- Experience assembling and maintaining a strong development team
- A passion for mentoring both on your immediate team and in the larger engineering team
- Previous experience in transportation, logistics, 3PL, or similar is a major plus
