Maintenance Technician

Company is a food manufacturer and process in Etobicoke. We are employee-focused and growing.
This is a newly created position to our maintenance team due to our growth. You will be giving orientation by the Maintenance Manager, then expected to service the equipment mostly during our Day shift.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation and maintenance of duvet and
machines.
- Responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures and manage equipment efficiencies.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions.
- Experience with PLC is an asset
- Maintain proper documentation including logs, maintenance records, safety, and
environment reports.
**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 01-02 years mechanical experience required.
- Skilled with operating power hand tools i.e., drill gun, saw, sanding machine etc.
- Experience with maintenance of food processing machines is an asset.
- Experience in the Food Manufacturing plant is a strong asset.
- Electrical experienced preferred, previous experience in the maintenance, repair
and installation of machinery and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Knowledge and experience in reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics is an asset.
**Working Conditions**:
Ability to lift 10-15kg when needed.
