Discover outstanding employee benefits, experience world-class facilities and join a dynamic community that values reconciliation, sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. We are one of Manitoba’s Top Employers and one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers. At the University of Manitoba, what inspires you can change everything.

**The opportunity**:
The incumbent reports to the Vice-Dean, Indigenous health, Social Justice and Anti-Racism (or their delegate), Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, and receives strategic guidance from the WISH Clinic Steering Committee, which is comprised of members from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, the Elmwood Community Resource Centre, and the Extended Primary Care Clinic at Concordia Hospital, along with the Wish Clinic Co-Chairs of the Student Executive.

The incumbent works within the mandate, mission, and vision of the WISH Clinic, ensuring its development and operations align with community needs. The Clinic Facilitator plays a key role in strengthening relationships with the community and ensuring that WISH Clinic services reflect the voices and priorities of the people it serves.

The Clinic Facilitator is responsible for the on-site coordination and management of the WISH Clinic, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and responsive environment for community members. The incumbent will provide opportunities for debriefing, learning and holistic support to student volunteers, equipping them with the tools to deliver meaningful and culturally safe care. This includes guiding students in engaging with community members, understanding social determinants of health, and developing a well-rounded approach to community-centered care.

In addition to clinic operations, the Clinic Facilitator will support RFHS health career pathway initiatives by coordinating student volunteer involvement in outreach and engagement activities, particularly during periods when the clinic is not in session. These outreach and engagement efforts help strengthen early exposure to health professions among youth and contribute to faculty-wide goals related to equity, inclusion, and representation in healthcare.

The Clinic Facilitator serves as a bridge between the WISH Clinic, community organizations, and local partners to foster meaningful collaborations and long-term sustainability. This includes prioritizing community engagement, facilitating regular feedback loops with local residents, and ensuring that WISH Clinic initiatives align with the evolving needs of the community.

The Clinic Facilitator maintains open communication with the University of Manitoba, the WISH Clinic Steering Committee, the WISH Clinic Student Executive Council, and other partners to build and sustain support for the WISH Clinic. The Clinic Facilitator is also responsible for collecting and reporting key data to support WISH Clinic partners and funders. This includes tracking clinic participation, engagement metrics, and service impact to inform decision-making, enhance program effectiveness, and explore opportunities for future expansion. Additionally, the role focuses on enhancing student learning opportunities beyond the clinical experience, ensuring volunteers receive wraparound supports such as mentorship, debriefing, and professional development resources to strengthen their understanding of community-based health and wellness services.
