Mississauga, Canada PartsAvatar Full time

**About Parts Avatar**

Parts Avatar is a Canadian e-commerce leader in automotive parts and accessories. We move thousands of SKUs through our 3PL partners across Canada and import a growing share of our catalog from Asia. We’re building a nimble, data-driven supply chain and are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to help us turn chaos into clean, efficient processes.

**The Role**

You will own the day-to-day coordination of our 3PL warehouse operations and manage our inbound logistics and sourcing from China. You will be a key player in ensuring our inventory flows smoothly, from negotiating with suppliers in **Mandarin and/or Cantonese** to tracking shipments and maintaining strong relationships with our partners.

**What You'll Do**

3PL & Warehouse Operations
- Serve as the daily point of contact for our 3PL partners, upholding service level agreements for receiving, storage, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure accurate documentation for all inbound shipments (ASNs, labeling, pallet specs) and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (receiving time, pick accuracy, order cycle time) and reconcile 3PL invoices.

Inbound Logistics & Customs
- Plan and book ocean, air, and express shipments (FOB/CIF/DDP) and coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and HS codes.
- Track ETAs, prevent demurrage/detention charges, and manage claims for any damaged or missing inventory.
- Support Canadian customs compliance, including preparing broker instructions and ensuring duty and tax accuracy.

Sourcing & Supplier Management (China)
- Identify, vet, and build relationships with suppliers, handling all communication in both English and **Mandarin and/or Cantonese**.
- Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQs), lead times, and payment terms.
- Coordinate quality checks, pre-shipment inspections, and packaging standards.

Inventory & Data
- Maintain SKU master data, set reorder points, and assist with demand planning.
- Analyze sell-through and lead-time variability to recommend inventory targets and safety stock levels.
- Support landed-cost calculations and collaborate with the Catalog team on product attributes.

**What You'll Bring**
- **2-4+ years** of experience in supply chain, logistics, or sourcing, preferably within an e-commerce or distribution environment.
- Professional proficiency in **Mandarin and/or Cantonese** (spoken and written) and strong English communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with 3PL operations and familiarity with WMS/ERP systems and spreadsheets (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables).
- Solid understanding of Incoterms, HS classification, import documentation, and various freight modes.
- Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to follow-through.

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with automotive parts and familiarity with ACES/PIES data standards.
- Knowledge of Canadian customs processes (e.g., CARM/RPP).
- Familiarity with tools like Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets/Excel. Bonus points for experience with SQL/BI, NetSuite, Cin7, ShipStation, or CartRover.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Flexible schedule
- On-site parking

Application question(s):

- Do you have at least 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or sourcing?
- Are you professionally proficient in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (spoken and written)?
- Have you worked directly with 3PL partners for warehousing or order fulfillment?
- Are you familiar with Incoterms such as FOB, CIF, and DDP?
