Requisition ID: 155159 Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. **Hiring Details**: - ** Work location**: 90 Wynford Drive, North York ON. - Travel will be required for on-site events across locations including: Stratford, Mississauga, Ottawa, Halifax, & Montreal. - 12 month contract - ** Working hours**: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. **Job Purpose**: The Employee Engagement Coordinator contributes to the overall success of Global Operations (GO) with a focus on fostering Employee Engagement (EE) and pride within the employee base. The EE Coordinator contributes to the development and execution of EE strategy and programs to support and enhance the employee experience and leads activities that will enhance wellness, inclusion, charitable and community involvement. **Is this role right for you? In this role, you will**: - ** Supports the development and execution of EE programs and events by**: - Contributing to the overall EE strategy and providing insight specific to the campus to ensure a consistent employee experience across GO - Partnering with peers to develop new initiatives through regular research to inform concept and development of marketing materials - Facilitating delivery of EE programs, including events as such as: Diversity & Inclusion events, GO Learn Sessions, Employee Engagement activities and Onboarding activities - Supporting the Manager, EE to evaluate the effectiveness of EE activities (e.g. learning materials, training sessions, delivery strategies) by collecting data to examine EE metrics and continuously improve learning techniques, delivery, outcomes and strengthen EE programming - Assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of communications platforms with specific focus on channels that are fundamental to and drive Employee Engagement within GO such as Scotiabank Live and Workplace - Supporting committees including Action Teams - Social & Connection, Diversity & Inclusion and Community & Awareness - Facilitating the set up and take down of the physical space assigned to each event - Assisting with the development of content for wellness activities and associated relationship management of vendors 2. **Champions a customer focused culture to deepen partner relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge by**: - Providing logístical operational support for campus and business line activities and events, campus tours, etc. - Supporting budget maintenance and monitoring including reconciliation, invoices, monthly and annual returns - Facilitating in the orientation of new hires - Assisting Campus Operations in the administrative support of the units in the campus as required **3. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.** **4. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Scotiabank Code of Conduct.** **5.Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.** **Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have**: - 1-3 years’ work experience in employee engagement, communications, relationship management, or related field, preferably with a financial services institution or financial services exposure - Strong Relationship Management skills and ability to influence teams that do not report directly - Excellent communication skills: written, oral and presentation - Excellent relationship building skills with proven experience Location(s): Canada : Ontario : North York Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
