Camp Director

**Compensation**: $30/hour
**Key Responsibilities**:
Program Development
- Develop a curriculum for the summer basketball camp program, including skill development practice plans and video IQ classroom sessions.
- Collaborate with the Director of Athletics and Leagues and Clinics Coordinator to ensure camp activities align with the goals and philosophy of Athlete Institute and Orangeville Prep
- Create age-appropriate training sessions and activities catering to camp participants' skill levels.
Staff Management
- Supervise a team of camp counsellors, coaches, and support staff.
- Conduct daily coaching staff meetings pre/post camp sessions to ensure consistent delivery of program objectives and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to staff members to facilitate their professional development.
Camp Operations
- Coordinate camp logistics in collaboration with Athlete Institute staff, including facility reservations, equipment procurement, and transportation arrangements.
- Act as the first line of communication between parents and management, relaying communications effectively as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, sports management, education, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience working in a leadership role within a summer camp or youth sports program is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, coaching techniques, and player development strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (overnight), during the summer camp season.
- Passion for mentoring and inspiring young athletes to reach their full potential on and off the court.

2. July 22-26
3. August 12-16
