**Position Summary**:
The Financial Controller will lead all day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. This role is vital in supporting executive decision-making and enhancing financial performance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all accounting functions including A/P, A/R, GL, payroll, and tax filings
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local financial requirements
- Implement and maintain ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support business strategy
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 2+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, NetSuite)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Experience in food industry preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
