The Controller will play a crucial role in budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic planning, ensuring that the practice remains financially healthy and compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, billing, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the practice's growth and sustainability.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, including monitoring actual vs. budget performance.
- Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support business decisions and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Present financial reports to the management team, highlighting key trends and areas of concern.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
- Manage tax reporting and filing processes, working with external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the practice's financial assets.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Support strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and analysis to guide decision-making.
- Assist in the management of vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the practice.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with at least 2 years in a healthcare or dental practice setting.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, financial reporting, and compliance.

**Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Net suite) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of dental practice management software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of integrity and ethical responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement.
