**Overview**:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager at SNDL, the Human Resources Management System (HRMS) Payroll Analyst will provide day to day system support as it relates to system set up, testing, training, administration, reporting and overall user support in Workday. Provide technical payroll support, including assisting with regular pay cycle processing, responding to employee inquiries, analytical reporting and assisting with year-end requirements.
**Scope of Role**:
- Work closely with Workday and business stakeholders to define and document business requirements, to configure system modules as well as support internal testing and change management activities.
- Provide payroll back up including reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.
- Assist with month-end audits, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Contribute to the solution design, configuration, integration, testing training, knowledge-transfer activities and post-production support requirements.
- Provide Workday system support to the HR team.
- Maintain, support and configure system modules as per Sundials policy and plan documents in Workday.
- Manage system security as per privacy legislation, system governance and internal SNDL practices.
- Support HR team in initiating annual programs.
- Support system new release activities including understand changes and potential impact to existing system configuration, regression testing and change management.
- Document and maintain internal system processes.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Keen attention to detail with strong time management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of HR and Payroll principles, concepts, and processes.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Must have previous experience with Workday products including Payroll, Time and Absence, HCM, Recruiting, and Reporting
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certificate - Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) would be considered an asset
- Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Human Resources, Commerce, IT or other related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of broad HR experience in areas such as payroll, compensation, benefits or talent management
- Previous experience working within Workday, developing, and implementing business processes, procedures, and complex reporting
