Located in Windsor, Nova Scotia, Gladys M. Manning Memorial Homes’ facilities include two apartment buildings containing a total of 78 two-bedroom apartments and a 24-unit apartment for Enriched Housing - 8 one-bedroom and 16 studio apartments.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in commercial property management is an asset
- Problem-solving
- ownership of responsibilities, able to anticipate and address issues in emergencies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with tenants, people-focused, upbeat and stay professional
- Strong maintenance skills include minor plumbing, painting, minor electrical repairs, carpentry, drywall repairs with flooring installation a major asset.
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A team player

**Job Duties**:

- Daily property inspections
- Check at least once per day all mechanical rooms.
- Ensure vacant apartments are promptly ready for new tenants (flooring, painting, and other required repairs).
- Respond to maintenance concerns of tenants promptly and resolve them in a timely fashion. Respond to all with courtesy, respect and confidentiality.
- Maintain common areas of buildings and grounds.
- Experience with minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting.
- Ensure exterior grounds are adequately maintained
- Take whatever action is necessary to assure the security of the building.
- Maintain a clean working area and safely store all hazardous materials.
- Available for emergencies such as water breaks, alarms or snow removal.
- Expect some weekend work (generally Saturdays) throughout the year with alternative days off as operational needs dictate.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.25-$18.50 per hour
