The BCFMA is currently looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Operations Support Worker for our Victoria office.
**What can I expect as an Operations Support Worker?**
In our world, no day is ever the same, but you can expect a typical day to include some combination of the following:
- Maintains current database information on each case including essential file information, administrative actions, case file status, cost of living adjustment payments and any other information required by the case management team.
- Investigates and researches file information for the case management team.
- Prepares packages including all court, intake, case management, land, and other documents and assembles same in an orderly and complete manner.
- Maintains appropriate related filing systems and procedures.
- Prepares clear, concise, and timely correspondence necessary to keep clients informed.
- Accountable for maintaining Program standards for all case activity
- Maintains action list to required Program standards.
- Ensures all forms of communication meet all privacy and security guidelines.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, community resources and computer systems as they relate to handling enquiries successfully.
- Contributes to positive, respectful working relationships within the team, based on mutual support and encouragement, and identifying and helping to resolve problems both in the work itself, and interpersonally among team members.
- Readily adapts to constant workplace change.
- Participates in ongoing professional development opportunities and training programs.
**What education and experience will you need to be successful?**
- A high school diploma; post-secondary education or studies including courses in office administration or a related field would be considered an asset.
- A minimum of three years of related experience working in a position that combines administrative work along with public contact and/or significant interactions with others would be an asset.
- Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Strong MS Office skills and proficient keyboarding and basic math skills.
The starting salary for this position is $42,506 per year. This is a unionized position and is covered by the BCGEU/BCFMA collective agreement. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
