**About the Role**

This is not your ‘typical large team, follow an existing script, BDR’ role. As Aterlo’s BDR team is growing, you will work closely with the marketing and sales teams and use your previous experience to help shape this position for a growing team to further help fuel Aterlo’s rapid growth. As such, there is significant growth potential for someone in this role. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, researching, and warming up prospective buyers for Preseem while also contributing to building the strategy to improve this function.

**Responsibilities**
- Establish and nurture relationships with potential prospects and ensure appropriate follow-up techniques
- Work together with our marketing team and account managers to identify new potential prospects and gather business intelligence
- Follow up with warm leads from trade shows, webinars and other inbound leads from our marketing initiatives
- Help design and execute on an effective outbound strategy
- Delivering compelling explanations of Preseem’s capabilities to prospects resulting in qualified prospects and meetings with an account manager

**Requirements**:

- A strong technical aptitude
- A people person, with a friendly and positive manner
- The ability to quickly build rapport with others
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment to continuous improvement, self-development and lifelong learning
- A tenacious self-starter with a drive to succeed
- Post-secondary education in any field

**Bonus Points**
- Two+ years experience in other business development type roles
- Expertise with networking technology
- Experience working for an ISP or a provider of technical solutions
