Then this position is for you As Community Outreach Lead for GTA West, you will be HCI’s focal point of contact in the community with the goal of increasing brand awareness, building partnerships, and raising funds for causes that matter. **Terms**:Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Key

**Responsibilities**:
**Outreach**
- Maintain a strong image of HCI within the community and introduce new donors to the organization
- Meet regularly with stakeholders in the community, including donors, to update them on HCI’s work, give them confidence in the organization, and move them towards increasing their donations
- Create a special relationship with major donors and community leaders, keeping them informed of HCI’s work and successes
- Utilize all regional and personal social media platforms to promote HCI messaging, campaigns, activities and appeals
- Create a calendar for outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other opportunities
- Assist the National Volunteer Coordinator in the selection, supervision, and engagement of volunteers within your assigned region

**Fundraising and Events**
- Create a regional plan that will help meet fundraising targets
- Manage relations with mosques to raise funds by:

- Organizing Jummah and Taraweeh collections
- Distributing material for specific campaigns (Ramadan, Qurbani, Emergencies)
- Setting up fundraisers in collaboration with the community
- Build a network with different ethnic groups with the goal of introducing HCI to them and raising funds collaboratively
- Plan and execute events to raise funds, including donor/volunteer appreciation events, fundraising tours, and other fundraising initiatives
- Work with the Major Gifts Manager to develop and follow leads in your region to secure major gifts
- Make phone calls during specific campaigns to solicit donations from donors in your region
- Work closely with other members of the fund development team contributing to the development of the charity’s overall strategic plan to ensure that fundraising is integrated effectively with other areas of the organisation’s work

**Admin**
- Draft the appropriate approvals and documents required for events and sponsorships
- Create post-event analysis reports to assist with measuring the success of events and sponsorships
- Collaborate with the Donor Services team to ensure the smooth process of data collection and data entry

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- University education, preferably a degree in events planning, fundraising or project management
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a within a fundraising and or events planning role, preferably with a non-profit organization
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation and the ability to interact with individuals from a variety of social backgrounds
- Excellent prioritization and time-management skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently with little direction or supervision
- Strong and clear commitment to HCI’s values
- Fluency in English and excellent written communication skills, fluency in any other ethnic language is an asset
