**osition Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced **Asbestos Site Supervisor** to oversee on-site operations for asbestos removal projects. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of asbestos abatement regulations and procedures. The Site Supervisor ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all applicable laws.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and supervise asbestos abatement crews on-site
- Coordinate daily work activities and assign tasks to team members
- Ensure proper setup of containment and decontamination areas
- Conduct site safety meetings and enforce compliance with PPE requirements
- Maintain project documentation, including daily reports and safety logs
- Monitor air quality and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
- Communicate progress, issues, and needs to the Project Manager
- Train and mentor team members in safe and efficient abatement practices
- Ensure equipment is used, maintained, and cleaned according to company standards
**Qualifications**:
- Valid provincial Asbestos Abatement Supervisor certification
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in asbestos abatement (with supervisory experience)
- Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations and safe work procedures
- Ability to read and interpret work plans, hazard assessments, and specifications
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
- Physically able to work in PPE and in confined spaces if required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
**Working Conditions**:
- On-site supervision in various work environments
- Full PPE and respiratory protection required
- Occasional evening, weekend, or overtime work depending on project needs
