Visual Merchandiser Career Opportunity

Dufresne Furniture and Appliances is currently seeking a Visual Merchandiser for our Winnipeg store located at 1750 Ellice Ave.

As a Visual Merchandiser you will be responsible for supporting the overall visual presentation of the store to ensure the best possible layout of the product to maximize sales. You will work at the store level to support marketing and advertising sales set-up and take down while ensuring corporate standards are maintained. You will collaborate with warehouse staff regularly to support the movement and placement of products on the showroom floor.

**As a Visual Merchandiser, you will**:
Ensure showroom and merchandise displays are neat, tidy, and maintained to the brand's visual standards.

Print and maintain floor tags and ensure tags are marked correctly.

Assist with event promotions and set up Point of Purchase (POP) displays.

Ensure showroom inventory is at capacity and organized by category.

Tag, barcode, and put out new accessories.

Assist with showroom floor direction from Corporate Office Visual Merchandising Team.

Collaborates with Merchandise Manager and Warehouse Team for merchandise optimal placement attaining maximum visual impact.

Assist with inventory counts/reconciliations.

Seasonal merchandise set-up, takedown, and inventory storage maintenance.

Post-secondary education in design or equivalent experience in the related field.

Demonstrated understanding of design principles, composition, balance, scale, contrast theory, etc.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and One Drive is an asset.

Ability to work independently and on a team with the ability to time-manage and multitask.

Experience with high volume retail environment.

Ability to read CAD floor plans.

Ability to cross-collaborate with a variety of team members.

Strong written communication and presentation skills.

Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.

Relevant experience with store renovation and new-store openings an asset.

Some travel may be required.
