**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Manage consulting projects including budget and timeline tracking
- Work collaboratively with clients, reviewing agencies and other consulting firms to achieve project objectives.
- Collate information from various sources, including communications with agencies and stakeholders, design and implement field programs to assess Species at Risk (SAR), significant natural heritage features, and other environmental considerations
- Coordinate, lead and/or support aquatic and/or terrestrial field programs with a focus on reptiles, amphibians, mammals (bats), birds, vegetation taxonomy and community description, wetlands, fish community inventories and habitat assessments, and Species at Risk
- Work with other technical staff, and project managers to develop natural heritage assessments, inventories and impact assessments, as well as to prepare technical correspondence, Endangered Species Act permitting and registrations, and project reports
- Liaise with internal practices outside of natural heritage, such as municipal, geostructural and geotechnical engineering, climate change and adaptation and restoration practices to provide innovative solutions to our clients challenges.

**Qualifications**
- Degree(s) in biology, ecology, environmental planning, ecological restoration, environmental science or related discipline
- 6+ years environmental consulting experience
- Experience managing projects and clients
- Ability to interpret and critically assess information in terms of relevant legislation, policies and guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and time management skills
- Field survey experience and proficient with standard survey protocols, use of field equipment, digital data collection and associated data management software
- Additional assets include familiarity with GIS and/or ecological restoration concepts and plans, Ecological Land Classification (ELC) training, Ontario Wetland Evaluation System (OWES) training, Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner - In Training (CERPIT) designation, arborist certification
- Valid Ontario driver s license is required.
