Key Requirements
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedules
- Must be able to commute to Bolton

Responsible for the implementation, standardization and monitoring of predictive and preventative maintenance programs. Responsible for the organization, scheduling and supervision of all maintenance activities for the grounds, offices, buildings and equipment.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/Areas of Accountability**:

- Supervises, instructs and trains staff to achieve Husky standards of maintenance.
- Negotiates and hires outside contractors as required for projects and other general equipment repairs. Supervises and coordinates the subcontracting activities for maintenance projects and ensures that schedules and costs are met.
- Manage the performance of support systems with the intent to optimize operating efficiencies (e.g. energy consumption, maintenance requirements, environmental impact)
- Involved in troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues in the Business Unit and provide “hands-on” assistance to the maintenance staff.
- Initiates recommendations to upgrade equipment and coordinates a proactive, preventative maintenance program.
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts, lubricants and other required supplies. Update and maintain all equipment and building maintenance manuals.
- Responsible for personnel related issues such as staff performance evaluation, interviewing and recommendation for hiring, promotion or termination.
- Maintains world-class housekeeping standards within the team.
- Driving continuous improvement in all areas through the use of Kaizen, 5S, Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- May participate in or lead continuous improvement activities.

**CRITICAL CAPABILITIES**
- Strong analytical troubleshooting ability with both electrical and mechnical systems.
- Excellent organization / project management skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of OHSA, WHMIS, P.P.M.

**EDUCATION**
- Post-secondary education (College diploma with a technical focus preferred) or trade certification.

**EXPERIENCE**
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in maintenance or project management
