**Job Summary**
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a **Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager**. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and a drive to get things done. Your primary focus will be supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, working closely with our Site Superintendents, Project Managers, and partners to ensure everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.
We’re looking for someone with the right attitude—a proactive, solutions-oriented team player who is ready to assist wherever needed to contribute to project success.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Project Manager with all phases of the project lifecycle
- Support the preparation and ongoing management of project budgets, schedules, and reports.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date, filed correctly, and shared with appropriate parties.
- Assist with the administration and completion of contract agreements and track subcontractor progress claims and vendor invoices for review and approval.
- Support project reporting, updates, and communications, including maintaining meeting minutes, agendas, and follow-ups with stakeholders.
- Evaluate, assess, and help mitigate project delivery risks in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Oversee and support safety and environmental requirements on-site, promoting a “Safety First” culture in conjunction with the Safety Manager and site safety teams.
- Conduct quality reviews, report any issues, and ensure timely follow-up with the Project Manager to resolve risks or problems.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure that design standards, safety, and quality are upheld throughout the project.
- Coach and develop junior staff members, fostering growth and excellence within the team.
- Take on additional responsibilities and assignments in alignment with the company’s **BOLD** core value, contributing to the success of the project, department, and company.in order to meet the objectives of the project, department and Company
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2-4 years of experience working on residential or commercial projects, ideally with concrete and steel structures.
- Experience with full project life cycles on at least two projects, or institutional project experience is a strong asset.
- Experience managing tenant improvement projects of larger scale and volume may also be considered.
- An Engineering degree, BCIT Construction Management/Project Management Certification, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
