Position Title: Intermediate Customs Rater

Reports To: Operations Manager and Managing Director

Status: Full Time - Hybrid, 4 days on site (7am - 3pm)

Location: Ontario CA or Fort Erie, ON

**Job Purpose**:
Join our team to process international commercial cargo importations with the Canada Border Services Agency and other Government Departments. Ensures that all assigned work is completed promptly and according to company and client standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments which could include all modes of transportation.
- Create customs entries via data and paperwork from carriers and clients.
- Release operations and administrative client services.
- Knowledge of classification (Tariff)
- Negotiate rates and arrange local deliveries.
- Communicate with CBSA officers, carriers, forwarders, and other government agencies.
- Audit and review customs entries.
- Request and verify all documents.
- Answer standard questions and requests from customers, drivers, customs, and other officials.
- Knowledge of import and export permit
- Knowledge of type of entries and corrections

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of Customs Brokerage Rater experience.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is required.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Must have IID release experience and good knowledge of PGA’s.
- Familiarity with CanData is an asset.
- Work in a team environment.

**Education**:

- High School Diploma.
- Post-Secondary Education-Logistics or Customs Diploma.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) is a plus.

**Language Ability**:

- Proficiency in the English Language (written and verbal fluency).
- French language skills are an asset.

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
