**Junior Technician, Product Development**

Reporting to the Sourcing Supervisor and in collaboration with the Buyer, the Jr. Technician, Product Development is responsible for the development of furniture and lighting products, from ideation to production follow-up, including the delivery of complete technical production specifications.

**What your day would look like**:

- In collaboration with the buyer, ideation of new concepts or actual concept furniture and lighting items.
- Carry out activities related to product development: formal and functional research, definition of type of materials and finishes.
- Participate in the cost and feasibility analysis of products.
- Creation and modifications of techpacks.
- Send techpack to vendors.
- Plan & generate images for the assembly of instruction booklets.
- Work in close collaboration with buyers and quality control departments.
- Assemble the samples (when necessary) and ensure confirmity to techpack;
- Analyze quotes with the Sourcing team
- Request samples and monitor until receipt
- Send UPS parcel
- Maintain the swatch database (file and sample room)
- **What you have to offer**:

- Bilingual (French & English).
- DEC or bachelor in Industrial design or equivalent experience;
- 1 year of relevant experience;
- Working knowledge of Solidworks software;
- Passionate about design and interest in the home decor industry;
- Initiative and teamwork skills;
- Creativity and resourcefulness in finding solutions;
- Possess a great attention to detail and aesthetics;
- Have the will to improve, to learn and to evolve;
- Respect deadlines & control the product's budget;
