Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products, and lifecycle services across industries. Engineering and delivering automation solutions from device to monitoring and control make our customers get more out of their investment; digitalization solutions including collaborative operations and augmented reality help improve plant and enterprise productivity, reduce maintenance and energy costs. Our engineering, project management, services and solutions portfolio covers a wide range of industries - Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Aluminum and Cement, Data centers and Food and Beverage. ABB's Mine Hoist Systems team delivers complete solutions and services ensuring our customers get the most out of their investment. Our hoisting solutions help improve safety and productivity of the mines while reducing maintenance and energy costs. Deep domain knowledge enables us to truly understand and address our customers’ challenges and opportunities. You will be part of ABB’s Project Management Office (PMO) of the Process Industries Division. You will manage projects involving the design, supply, and installation of Mine Hoist Mechanical Systems for the North American Mining Industry.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Leading the project team allocated to the project, monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. Coordinate the work of engineering, suppliers, contractors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization.
- Monitoring and controlling project financials (invoicing, cost, expenses and cash flow).
- Acting as the key contact for the customer and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout projects.
- Assess, manage, and report project risks and opportunities.
- Manage/lead project team to ensure project success and team spirit.
- Manage change requests and claims, prepare proposals, and implement changes, with support from technical and other staff as required.

**Your background**:

- Mechanical engineering university degree or technologist diploma with a minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant project experience.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of French is a strong asset.
- Strong leadership/interpersonal skills/Conflict resolution/Negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage/work with virtual (cross border/culture) teams.
- Understanding project finances & contracts.
- Experience in managing projects with installation of mechanical systems or construction scope.
- Experience in the mining industry would be an asset.
- PMP Certification would be an asset.
- Available to travel 10-15% for business trips of short durations.
