**Digital Prepress Operator (Contract)**

**Position Overview**: Contract, full-time
**Hours of Work**: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
**Location**: On-site, 343 Saunders Rd, Barrie, Ontario

**Job Duties (include and are not limited to)**:

- Prepare and optimize digital artwork for print production
- Preflight all incoming files to verify fonts, images, resolution, and print readiness
- Create imposition layouts, tiling, and other layout adjustments for large-format output
- Set up files with correct bleed, trim, and safe-area requirements
- Prepare files for production using RIP software to ensure proper processing and output
- Normalize files and ensure they meet all print specifications
- Work closely with production teams to ensure accuracy and timely output; Identify and resolve potential issues in digital files prior to production.
- Plan and schedule work to meet customer deadlines, proactively monitoring timelines and flagging potential delays to management; Adhere to company procedures and workflows as outlined in internal manuals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma/Certificate in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred, preferably in a print environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
