**Mental Health Worker (Developmental Services Worker)**

You will be working with Young Adults who have a Dual Diagnosis as well as provide support to all clients present in the home. You will be integral in the day to day lives of our clients and developing their life skills while providing quality care. Help foster lifelong friendships and community connections.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Helping support mental health needs of dual diagnosis client
- providing personal care (toileting, showering, brief changes etc.)
- managing challenging behaviours & behaviour tracking
- creativity for developing and implementing activities and events with clients
- completing housekeeping/chores, meal preparation, medication administration and working collaboratively with the team.
- Full Time rotation: Tuesdays to Saturdays 2pm-10pm
- Part Time shift needs: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and/or Mondays 2pm-10pm

**Qualifications**
- Specialty in working with mental health
- Standard First aid & CPR level C
- Experience with Disabilities
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to a reliable vehicle, clean driver's abstract and valid G License required for full time and rural roles (G2 acceptable in some cases as well)

**Salary information**
- Salary is dependent on experience
- Shift premiums for weekend and overnight awake shifts, signing bonus and $3/hour Government Wage Enhancement available on top of base rate

Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous

**transferable skills such as**
- support worker, personal support worker, caregiver, social work, community support worker, PSW, developmental service worker, child and youth worker, residential support worker, DSW, group home experience

Many of the Residential Program needs are for weekends and evenings and require access to a vehicle as they are not bus accessible.

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks and face shields/goggles available on shift. Enhanced cleaning protocols and practices at each program and variety of PPE available to staff.
Mandatory pre-screening before each shift and temperature checks

**Experience**:

- Autism: 1 year (preferred)
- Behavioural support: 1 year (preferred)
- Mental Health: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- G Driver's License (preferred)
