We are seeking a friendly and organized Golf Course Starter to join our team at Bay of Quinte Golf and Country Club. As a Starter, you will be responsible for managing the flow of play on the golf course and ensuring all guests begin their rounds in a timely and orderly fashion. This role is crucial in enhancing the overall guest experience by providing a smooth start to their game and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

**Duties**:

- Greet and welcome players to the course, ensuring they feel anticipated and valued.
- Manage the tee sheet, ensuring all players start at their designated tee times and maintaining an efficient flow of play.
- Explain the course rules, policies, and local rules to guests before they start their round.
- Coordinate with the Pro Shop and Marshal to monitor pace of play and address any concerns.
- Maintain clear communication with all staff regarding course changes, weather delays, or other factors that may impact play.
- Assist players by answering questions, providing directions, and offering assistance as needed.
- Ensure the starting area, including the first tee and surrounding areas, are organized and presentable.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a golf course starter role or similar position is preferred.
- Strong understanding of golf rules, etiquette, and operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with guests and staff.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- High level of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks or requests simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by the golf schedule.
- Basic computer skills for managing digital tee sheets and sending communications.
