**Scope**

The primary responsibility is to develop and service new and existing commercial sales for office furniture, and achieve annual Sales and GP objectives, while supporting the furniture efforts of the Office Products Account Manager.

**Duties**

Make regular calls on existing and new accounts to create, maintain, and maximize project furniture sales in geographical area.

Engage in business development activities, including cold-calling and networking, in order to uncover and create systems furniture opportunities.

Work with Designers, Project Coordinators, Project Manager, Commercial Realtors and Property Developers on large projects to ensure best possible chance of closing a sale.

Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Follow-up on deliveries to ensure that each job is done properly, outstanding deficiencies are resolved and our customer is satisfied with each project where project management team is not involved.

Develop and implement strategies and action plans for growth and profitability.

Develop a working relationship with furniture manufacturers to ensure success.

Manage the order process - order accuracy, expected delivery and all necessary follow-up in conjunction with the furniture/project support team.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Engaged and willingness to meet outside of the office, pursue meeting prospects and seeking customers to gain new project business, and updating skills by visiting furniture vendors.

**Qualifications**

A College Diploma or University Degree in Business, Project Management, Interior Design or related field is an asset

Strong community ties and relationships.

Familiarity with the contract and systems furniture interiors business would be a definite asset.

At least 5 years' business development and outside selling experience in a Business to Business environment.

Strong interpersonal & communication skills; effective time management skills. Familiarity with Request for Proposal (RFP) tender process. Success dealing at the C Level and Procurement teams.

**Compensation**

28K + commission + benefits + RRSP Program

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $28,000.00 per year
