Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a **Procurement and Fleet Administrator** based out of our **Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta**office. As a **Procurement and Fleet Administrator**, you will be responsible for performing purchasing functions consistent with established policies and practices while utilizing your excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff and external vendors. You will be responsible for the acquisition and procurement of routinely purchased supplies, equipment spare parts and services for our Fleet department in Alberta. Your other responsibilities may include researching and collating information, preparing requests for quotations, and issuing purchase orders using pre-set templates and established rules. You will also plan and coordinate the warehouse & shipping/receiving activities for maintenance shop. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Fleet Manager. This position will be responsible for the following responsibilities and tasks (but not limited to). **Responsibilities**: - Issue and expedite purchase orders - Resolve invoicing discrepancies - Resolve supplier shipping errors - Maintain acceptable inventory levels - Monitor fulfillment of purchase orders - Maintain system data as it relates to products and purchase orders (PO due dates, order controls, pricing, product rebates etc.) - Works with other branches/departments - Assist with month end accounting process for purchasing/inventory related accounts. - Pick up and deliver local parts & materials - Maintain and insure readily available stock of spare parts, equipment and filter service kits - Develop warehouse/facility operations systems, such as receiving products, inventory management, product handling, storage requirements and shipping. - Acts as the Company’s main point of contact for inbound/outbound materials and supplies. - Coordinate waste disposal, scrap bin pick up and hazardous waste disposal - Identify spare parts as required by all BU’s make/type/manufacturer. - Follows up on delivery of critical parts - Finds alternative suppliers for OEM parts - Considers multiple delivery methods for incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure the most efficient solution accounting for cost and schedule - Maintains a good level of knowledge and maintains awareness of new technologies and evolutions in the crane and heavy transport sectors. - Regularly checks the satisfaction of (internal) customers, as well as the quality of the equipment, and uses this to define and execute action plans to improve the organization on a continuous basis - Perform additional related duties as required **Requirements**: - Previous purchasing experience - Previous warehouse experience (shipping and receiving & inventory management) - Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) - Experience with Cranes/Heavy Equipment considered an asset - Experience with MS D365 Finance & Operations considered and asset - Forklift training considered an asset - Ability to produce a large volume of work with a high degree of accuracy - Strong computer, analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Excellent organizational and time management skills required - focused and able to work effectively in a team environment. - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds - Safety, Motivated and Solution Driven We offer a competitive salary, based on experience, and full employer-paid health and wellness benefits.
