Shg- Dishwasher

Silver Hotel Group's Corporate Kitchen at the Novotel is currently looking for a full-time and part-time Dishwasher to join the team and set the stage for the food & beverage operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will**:

- Wash all main kitchen and banquet kitchen dishes, glassware and cutlery to ensure sufficient supplies are available at all times;
- Clean the dishwashing machines, jet components, including closing jet flaps;
- Wash pots and pans, including kitchen utensils. Wash display mirrors in main kitchen and banquet kitchen;
- Clean ovens and stoves;
- Sweep and mop main kitchen floor, ensuring no debris left under prep/cook areas or stoves;
- Empty all garbage containers in main kitchen and banquet kitchen into garbage dumpster / recycling containers;
- Break down all empty boxes and deposit into trash compactor or designated pick-up area. Once compacted, tie broken boxes with wire;
- Clean loading dock daily;
- Clean/maintain cleanliness of staff cafeteria, dishes and cutlery;
- Ensure work area is clean and properly sanitized at all times;
- Any other duties as instructed by Executive Chef or Manager on Duty, including food preparation.

**Job Requirements**
- Previous experience not required;
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities;
- Highly responsible & reliable;
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team;
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

**Able to meet the physical aspects of the position including,**
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift;
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs;
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling;
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

**Salary**: $23.55 per hour
