Housekeeping Supervisor

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for supervising the housekeeping operation by providing guidance and direction to the housekeeping team.
- Leading in accordance with d3h’s Vision and Values and promoting a culture of teamwork and genuine prairie hospitality within the housekeeping team.
- Create weekly housekeeping schedule and manage any absences.
- Addressing and resolving guest concerns or special requests.
- Ensuing uncompromising levels of cleanliness and orderly attractive rooms, hallways, and lobbies by performing a variety of duties such as supervising, inspecting work activities of housekeeping staff.
- Ensuring all rooms are cleaned and inspected by daily deadline.
- Monitor labour in accordance with occupancy levels and motivate housekeeping team to ensure high levels of productivity.
- Working with General Manager to ensure the housekeeping associates clearly understand their job, areas of accountability, and receive proper orientation and training.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with front desk regarding late check-outs, do not disturb, and discrepant rooms.
- Communicate with front desk and maintenance departments in regard to maintenance issues or out of order rooms.
- Following up with room attendants on all cleanliness inconsistencies and deviations from company standards. This includes discussion, documentation, and assisting the General Manager with progressive disciplinary action when needed.
- Performing or co-ordinating deep cleaning tasks.
- Strip vacant dirty rooms of linen and garbage.
- Ensure vacant clean rooms are inspected and ready to rent.
- Perform room attendant duties as required.
- Ensuring that department goals are communicated, understood, and met by housekeeping staff.
- Taking regular monthly inventory of linen, cleaning and laundry chemicals, and guest supplies.
- Maintaining organization of storage rooms and monitoring inventory levels.
- Participating in weekly meetings with the hotel’s supervisory team.
- Complying with the hotel’s Occupational and Health and Safety Guidelines and Regulations.
