**Department Overview**:
The Investigative Services (IS) department helps to maintain the integrity of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) markets by researching and preparing due diligence background reviews used in making suitability decisions.

The Summer Associate will contribute to Investigative Services daily operations including processing of criminal record checks, liaising with securities commissions to exchange confidential information and working to process internal and external requests for research and other departmental tasks. Working with IS team members and collaborating with Listing staff, the Summer Associate will be required to ensure requests are accurately processed and meet established timelines.

Now Hiring - Student Intern - Information Analyst

**Key Accountabilities**:
Process criminal record checks and update departmental databases with relevant information

Liaise with regulatory and law enforcement contacts; exchange confidential information pertaining to investigative files

Process external research requests to external vendors

Assist in expense reporting

Assist with maintaining departmental statistics

Assist in executing process improvement initiatives and projects within the team

Assist in responding to customer inquiries and completing departmental tasks

**Must Have(s)**:
University degree with preferred focus on Information Studies, Business/Commerce, Finance or Economics

Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

Strong attention to detail

**Strong research skills**: Experience using commercial online databases (such as LexisNexis and Factiva) and internet search engines

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision

Self-management and organization skills

Proven ability to provide excellent client service and work in a team oriented environment
