Kingfisher International (KFI) is searching for a couple full-time animal care attendants to join our globally recognized, pre-clinical veterinary research company located in Stouffville, ON. We help develop leading edge pharmaceuticals, providing pet parents with access to life changing and cost effective treatments worldwide. As an animal care attendant you will be a crucial addition to our diverse team of DVMs, Techs, and ACAs in overseeing the care and welfare of the world’s sweetest dog and cat colonies. Applicant beware: Staff adoptions are common

Research experience is beneficial but not mandatory. We are seeking an ACA that has completed a Veterinary Assistant or Animal Care program which is beneficial but not mandatory. New grads are welcome to apply.

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Provide daily feeding, watering, and grooming of animals in accordance with their specific needs.
- Monitor animal health and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures, including regular cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with the handling and restraint of animals.
- Participate in training sessions for animals as needed, promoting positive behaviours and socialization.
- Document animal care activities accurately in records as required.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in animal care or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; a strong passion for animal welfare is essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving animals as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and provide updates on animal status.
