The **Grocery Team Leader **plays a critical role in overseeing the grocery department's stocking, inventory, and team performance. This position ensures that the department runs smoothly, merchandise is well-stocked and presented, and that customers receive exceptional service. You’ll lead by example, working alongside the store team while maintaining operational efficiency and addressing any challenges that arise.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the grocery team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage inventory levels and monitor product rotation to reduce waste and ensure freshness.
- Ensure all grocery items are properly stocked, organized, and merchandised attractively.
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Respond to customer inquiries, offering product knowledge and recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and store policies.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any stock issues.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of **2 years of experience in a grocery or retail environment**.
- Proven leadership skills, with **1+ years of experience managing teams in a retail environment**.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist customers confidently.
- Knowledge of grocery products, merchandising techniques, and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be **legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada** and either reside in the local area or be willing to commute..

**How to Apply**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.50-$26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
