Looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our experienced engineering team supporting transformer repair and service in Canada. You will be technically helping the manufacturing process in the shop and using your expertise to streamline the process. In this position you will be located in Stoney Creek, ON and will be reporting to engineering manager. The engineering team supports Stoney Creek transformer repair facility and our service team across Canada.
**Your responsibilities**
- Work closely with the electrical and mechanical designers.
- Provide technical support to shop and participate in transformer inspections.
- Develop detailed material / parts list for transformer projects (cleats & leads, controls, and accessories).
- Work closely with purchasing for material parts planning and purchase.
- Coordinate and help to develop / implement process and equipment upgrades to suit special transformer designs manufacturing.
- Ensure that the jobs are delivered on time per the Customer Delivery Schedule
**Your background**
- Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of related Transformer Repair experience
- Transformer factory and/or transformer service experience
- Transformer Controls experience
- Proficient with computer and software-MS Office
- Mechanical design (CAD)
- Demonstrated self-starter with effective planning, organization, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
