Purchase Assistant

**Overview**Responsibilities**:
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of products.
- Procure goods and services in alignment with production schedules and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with vendors/supplier to ensure smooth flow of supply chain
- Work with warehouse and admin staff to ensure availability in warehouse
- Monitor market trends to identify potential changes in pricing or availability of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Forecasting to maintain smooth supply chain
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- **Key Requirements (e.g., experience, language, software skills)**:

- communication skills - verbal and written - English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), due to few major suppliers located in China

Knowledge in Spire system, Dental industry, other languages may all be an asset.
- **Work Location: Office in Scarborough, will need to move to Markham later in the year**:
- **Start Date (if known): ASAP**
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
