**PURCHASING CLERK**

**Job Summary**:
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for processing, confirming, and tracking purchase and inventory control requests, orders, and shipments supporting the supply chain.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process purchase orders through the MRP database, requests from internal departments, along with MRO requirements
- Track orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Evaluate supplier quotes to determine best possible price, delivery and quality of items required
- Perform Inventory control, counts, and maintain master data.
- Review minimum stock levels in the database and place replenishment purchase orders
- Follow up and expedite purchase orders, as required
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding supply requirements
- Perform inventory data trending analysis.
- Other duties as assigned

**Academic/Educational Requirements**:

- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Supply Chain

**Required Skills/Experience**:

- Strong communication skills to work effectively with customers, vendors and other internal departments (e.g. Sales, Production etc.)
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Previous purchasing knowledge and experience an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written in English.
- Knowledge in Excel (Pivot Tables, Vlookup functions) an asset.
- Able to plan and organize various job tasks
- Must be able to work in diverse teams and work on multiple projects at one time
