Material Handler/forklift Operator

**Role Description**:
Forklift Operators are responsible for ensuring safe transportation of goods around the facility and are expected to fill in and/or assist with other roles if needed.

**Responsibilities**
- Expedient service of all the necessary materials and components to the compounding and filling/packaging lines.
- Make sure that components (bottles, caps, boxes etc.) are loaded into equipment in a timely manner to avoid any unplanned stops.
- Make sure that finished product is palettized, shrink wrapped and transferred to the Warehouse continuously with no down time.
- Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Timely and accurate completion of all required documentation as per GMP and GDP requirements.
- Awareness and understanding of the production schedule.
- In collaboration with the Production Supervisor, ensure proper Warehouse inventory management.
- Observe all Safety Rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
- Compliance with the company’s Production and Quality standards.
- Compliance with the company's Health& Safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned, which may include filling in or assisting with other roles such as General Labour, Batching, etc.

**Qualification**
- Valid forklift license is a must.
- Experience working in household, personal care, cosmetics, pharma, chemical industries is an asset.
- Good communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
- Ability to work in a fast - paced environment and have problem-solving critical thinking skills.
- Environmental awareness and possesses good attention to detail. Must be able to follow work instructions and all standard operating procedures.
- Possesses technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent time management skills and organizational skills. Familiar with 5S, Kaizen, TPM and other organizational tools.
- Ability to learn how to operate multiple pieces of equipment and trouble shoot.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work. Able to lift 50 lbs.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
