Working closely with other members of the maintenance team in Winnipeg, the Transport Trailer Technician - Mobile Technician specializes in over the road diagnoses and repairs. This expert Trailer Technician brings their expertise directly to the driver, is a go to for irregular repair jobs, and doesn’t hesitate to take on challenging repair work, regardless of the environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate the mobile service truck, enabling roadside repairs to Transport Trailer equipment
- Inspect trailer mechanisms, ensuring that the trailer is safe and reliable for operation
- Complete basic exterior trailer body repairs
- Perform metal working, cutting, and welding on landing gear, cross member replacements, slider and suspension, and rear end protection repairs
- Complete air brake and suspension repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system deficiencies
- Follow and promote Safety Guidelines, SOPs, and best practices
- Provide accurate and clear work orders

**Qualifications & Competencies**:

- Valid class 5 license
- Transport Trailer Technician Level 3 Apprentice or equivalent experience
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous learning
- High attention to detail and a collaborative approach to problem solving
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other transport trailer systems and related components
- 2 years of relevant experience is preferred
- CVI License is considered an asset
