**LEAD HAND TRAILER TECHNICIAN**

**Hours**:Monday to Friday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs technician work including diagnostics, repair, paperwork and shop cleanliness
- Supervises staff following Maxim’s Leadership principles
- Assigns jobs to technicians and monitors quality of service in the shop by inspecting work completed.
- Performs service coordinator duties which include answering the phone, estimating parts and labour, intake, and contacting customers.
- Maintain company tools and equipment; general shop upkeep to promote a safe work environment

**Ideal Qualifications**:

- 5+ years as a Heavy Duty Trailer Technician
- Journeyman designation is preferred
- Previous supervision experience is preferred
- Safety Inspection Certificate an asset
- Valid Class 1 with Air Driver’s License an asset for road testing
- A team player with a strong commitment to the customer
- Proven leadership skills including motivating, coaching, and training
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability
- Organized, sets priorities, and meets deadlines
- Computer knowledge and ability to learn in house programs
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiar with tools of the trade and personally equipped with an adequate supply of hand tools
