Queen Margaret's School is looking for a **Full Time Food Services Attendant** to join our in-house Food Services Team in providing a professional food service to our students and staff. When you join the team at QMS, you become part of our community, where the contribution of every individual is important and valued.
The successful applicant must be a team player who has a positive ‘can-do’ attitude towards customer services, including working with young people, together with an interest in food service and the associated duties of working within a busy kitchen environment.
It is important you have a flexible approach to your duties in this varied role and that you are able to work well with others, to carry out a range of food services, catering and cleaning duties within a busy environment to ensure an excellent daily food service.
Duties include assisting with the preparation of food, preparation of the Servery for service, serving students, preparing snack baskets, delivery of food across the campus, food service area cleaning and general kitchen duties.
This full-time position is eligible for the School's benefits program, including paid sick time and matching RRSP.
**_ Preference will be given to applicants who also have the following experience, skills and qualifications:_**
- Previous experience of working within a Restaurant or Food Services.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Food Safe certification
- Team player who has a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication / listening skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and independently when required.
- Must have a level of physical fitness suitable to perform the manual tasks and physical demands of this position including lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, etc. occasional requirement to lift pots, pans, dishes and other items up to 50 lb.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
