McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, a family-owned company that has been part of the Calgary community and leader in the funeral services industry for over 120 years, is seeking a dedicated and professional **Landscaper/**Grounds Maintenance Worker** to join our dynamic and growing team.** This full-time position works Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3 P.m. - 75 hours bi-weekly. This role requires individuals who have the flexibility to work weekends and/or longer than scheduled days on occasion.** With 10 locations in the Calgary area and a staff of over 130 amazing people, this role offers plenty of variety in day-to-day tasks, a positive work culture, and a supportive team environment.

**What You’ll Do**:
This is a key role responsible for the professional appearance and operation of our facilities. Success in this position involves strong attention to detail, a caring and professional demeanor and appearance, and a willingness to do whatever is required to enhance the buildings and environment for the families we are privileged to serve.

**Position Duties**
- Install and maintain all soft scaping - seasonal plants, flower beds, outdoor planters at all of our locations
- Install, maintain/repair hardscaping
- Mulch, edge and weed gardens.
- Monitor and maintain the health of plants
- Keep gardens, walkways and green spaces clear of debris and litter
- Upkeep of grounds, walkways and parking lots - including snow removal
- Maintain fountains, signage and outside features
- Travel to various MHFH locations as needed
- Repair equipment
- Other duties as assigned

**What You Bring**:

- Enjoy working outdoors - year round
- Knowledge of lawns, flowers and plant care
- Experience as a gardener/landscaper/general maintenance worker will be considered an asset
- Experience in building and designing flower beds
- A high attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and/or senior management
- Ability to work well individually and within a team
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing and lifting up to 50lbs.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, machinery and tools required to perform the duties of this role
- **Current Class 5 (non GDL) driver’s license with a driver’s abstract with six or less demerits**:

- **Clean driving record and insured for a minimum of 3 years**:

- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Google Docs, and able to use iPhone apps
- Must be comfortable wearing the company uniform and maintaining professional grooming standards as determined by the company
- Strong customer service skills
- A clear background check (Security Clearance)
- Availability to work all shifts as scheduled, including weekends and holidays with the ability to work past scheduled hours as required to meet the needs of the families we serve

**We Offer**:

- Starting wage of $21.50 - $25.00 hour - commensurate with experience
