The RMD group of companies is seeking Temporary Assembler/Operators for evening shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) for a 3-6 month term, with the possibility of a permanent position.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Being fit and ready for work at the start time.
- Health and safety policies, regulations, and procedures (written and verbal) are followed at all times.
- Use company assets (e.g., tools) in a safe and respectful manner.
- Show willingness to learn new skills.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Experience in manufacturing.
- Previous experience with small tools, grinders, saws and is able to use various shop equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- WHMIS 2015 Certification.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Understanding and complying with all Company Quality/Safety policies, procedures and rules and carrying out all activities including the operation of any machinery in a safe, responsible manner.
- Ensuring that all required and appropriate PPE be worn at all times.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and deemed safe by the supervisor or designate that may or may not be in your area of work.
- Mechanical assembly of a variety of components to required drawings.
- Follow company quality procedures for various hand and automated equipment.
- Read drawings and check part tolerance using measuring equipment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3-6 months
