The Assistant Manager - Sales Support is responsible for managing the team of Inside Sales Representatives and Proposal Analysts for Canadian business units, which includes inside sales, engineering, external sales and customers. As part of this role, the individual will be involved in activities such as providing coaching and training to inside sales and quotation specialists, managing and reporting on project statuses, and provide technical training to team members on metal enclosed switchgear group.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Lead quotation and order entry team (inside sales) for MES-IPT
- Responsible for providing technical support for quotations team based on customer requirements and technical knowledge about S&C portfolio.
- Responsible for overseeing activities related to order entry. Provide assistance/training to the order entry team in solving issues.
- Ensures that group fulfill deadlines for quotes and spec summaries and act as a facilitator redistributing the workload among the team members during spike on work activity.
- Review team members performance to enhance the level of knowledge/ skills are in synch with company and customer expectations for their roles.
- Propose new/updated KPIs and distribute to team in order to measure the achievements vs targets
- Provide input for continuous improvement opportunities within his/her team targeting excellence in team’s performance.
- Act as the main point of contact between inside sales team and other internal stakeholders directly involved with MES-IPT (external sales, engineering ,project management department, planning, scheduling, etc.).
- Review and check quotations and spec summaries (when needed) in order to make sure accuracy on data/ information handed out to MES-IPT engineering.
- Work directly and indirectly on the improvement of tools and process for inside sales team

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education/Professional Certification**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline.

**Experience**:

- 5 years of experience working with electrical equipment in either a technical design, commercial customer service, or manufacturing function

**Skills**:

- Strong leadership experience including: Work scheduling, coaching, process execution

Leading, directing, reviewing work of team members
Planning and establishing goals and objectives for team
Ensure policies, processes are followed by team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable in the electrical industry field with a strong understanding in Medium Voltage and its related components
- Previous experience with Medium Voltage Switchgear is a must.
- Knowledge of Oracle and MicroStation or AutoCad
