Reporting to the Shop Floor Supervisor, we have an immediate need for a Contract Production Planner. The key aspect of this role is to plan and prepare the production schedules for manufacturing activities in accordance with build plans. You will support the shop floor supervisor and play a key role in the day-to-day organisation of manufacturing activities. You will monitor the schedule to establish sequence and lead times of each operation, monitoring resources and follow through to delivery. Following appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines, however, offer suggestions to improve processes, lower stock levels and improve productivity. This role will also complete monthly capacity planning and recommends “work-around” solutions. This role will also be responsible for OEE tracking and reporting for all applicable work centers.

**Additional areas of responsibilities include**:

- Creating Production and Shortage Reports
- Coordinate outsourcing, prepare production orders, rescheduling and expediting
- Counts to actual discrepancies and Data collect review, Capacity Planning
- Verification accuracy of Bill of Materials
- Month-end metrics and KPI’s
- OEE reporting
- Other duties as assigned from time to time

You will work closely with the production supervisors to meet Company goals/targets and assist the Purchasing Manager with comprehensive analysis, forecasting and decision support as needed.

**Qualifications**:
Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in ERP systems, SAP an asset

Strong MS Excel

Minimum of 2 years previous manufacturing production and inventory control experience

Post-secondary education in Business or Manufacturing recommended
