About the opportunity
The Small Business Account Executive is responsible for driving new client acquisition through prospecting, and managing incremental revenue by upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the SMB (1 - 99 employee size companies/organizations) identifying client needs, demonstrating how Dayforce’s solutions can better address their requirements, and solve strategic business concerns leading to long-term strategic customer relationships and profitable revenue growth. This role's primary responsibility is to execute on the new business strategy and acquire/close new business within a defined territory through daily sales activities, outbound cold calling, targeted telephone initiatives, and fieldwork when required.

- Attains sales quota by creating and executing a business plan to exceed revenue goals and expand Dayforce’s value
- Analyzes an organization’s existing HR and Payroll environment; proposes, and demonstrates how Dayforce’s solutions can better address their requirements and solve business concerns
- Develops mutually beneficial relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in assigned territory/accounts
- Leads and facilitates demonstrations to provide customer engagement and understanding
- Leverages knowledge of the prospect’s business, as well as Dayforce’s capabilities to establish value and create new opportunities
- Establishes and executes sales strategies that effectively present a solid business case to prospects, using competitive intelligence to best leverage Dayforce
- Leads sales engagement and involves resources as needed to address the prospect’s needs and business problem(s)
- Conducts negotiations on behalf of Dayforce to secure sales that represent good business within current sales framework, authorities, and practices
- Meets or exceeds revenue and gross profit expectations.
Maintain Accurate and Timely Customer, Pipeline, and Forecast Data
- Captures and maintains all relevant information in Salesforce CRM system
- Maintains accurate customer timelines and forecast data
- Follows all defined processes and timelines (SOW requirements, deal review process, price setting, service level requirements, demo scripts, expenses, etc.)
- Keeps current on Dayforce processes and any relevant changes
Maintain Technical Knowledge
- Maintains product proficiency to effectively explain and demonstrate the value of Dayforce’s products and solutions, and how they differ from competitors
- Leverages technical and professional skills to increase productivity and customer satisfaction
- Completes necessary training and certifications, as applicable
Skills and Experience we value
- University/College Degree/Diploma, or equivalent related work experience
- 1-2 years of sales experience with preference to experience selling into Small and Medium-size companies; B2B and/or professional services setting.
- Proven track record of sales success driving revenue through discovering, prospecting, and creating new business.
- Valid driver's license required
