**Contract Rate**:$22/hour
**Work Hours**: 6-8 hours a week, up to 10 hours a week
**Schedule**: Tuesday's 11:00am-1:00pm and 6:00pm-9:00pm + once a month, the Tuesday afternoon session will be 11:00am-3:00pm
**Work Type**:must be available for one lunchtime on-line group and one in person evening group. Groups run weekdays.
**Work Location**:Hybrid - some sessions can be run remotely, while others will be at our Westshore Club location, 345 Wale Rd, Victoria, BC
**Expected Start Date**: As soon as possible

**Position Summary**
- This is a **contractor position**. Our ideal Parenting Group Co-Facilitator has group facilitation experience, is dynamic and energetic, and is passionate about working within our nationally sponsored and curriculum-based parenting support groups (virtually). If you are seeking part-time contract work that engages in meaningful relationships with parents using a curriculum-based approach, this is it. Our programs are designed to strengthen the quality of relationships between parents and their children and youth by:

- Providing positive parent support through curriculum-based group co-facilitation
- Co-facilitating focused virtual discussions with parents on topics such as temperament and communication skills, boundary setting, self-care etc.

**Desired Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in a relevant human services field
- Experience facilitating curriculum-based groups with a proven facilitation style that promotes an inclusive safe space for participants to share
- Passion for supporting parenting challenges
- Successful track record for collaborative program delivery
- Demonstrated knowledge of child & adolescent development
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of adult learning
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental health across the lifespan
- Demonstrated knowledge of neurodiverse needs, challenges, and strengths
- Demonstrated knowledge of parenting neurodiverse children/adolescents
- Experience delivering workshops on virtual platforms
- Standard First Aid and CPR C (required for in-person workshops)
- Knowledge of community-based resources for parents, an asset
- Competency working with varying learning styles
- Flexibility to work one or two evenings per week, and/or one day group per week
- Access to a private workspace, with working technology
- Experience working in a non-profit is desirable
